Making a difference

This Sunday (23rd February), London Autism Group Charity have a Community Café session for the Autistic Community in South Woodford.

This will be happening on the last Sunday of every month at 1pm-3pm at St Mary's Church (207 High Road, South Woodford E18 2PA).

The Community Cafés provide a safe, inclusive, accessible and free space for the entire Autistic community to meet up in person. In doing so, we are better able to make connections with people who share our lived experiences and understand our point of view.

These drop in sessions require no pre-registration and are open to all people, of any age group with any interest or connection with autism.

Anyone connected with the Autistic community is invited, including Autistic people (children and adults) , parent/carers, and wider family members. You do not need an official Autism diagnosis.

There will be free drinks and snacks available for you, sensory items and some games to play too, should you wish to.

The sessions also give people access to the Charity’s resources, where they can find support, advice and other help.

There will also be a lovely session of music therapy for people who wish to take part.

On Saturday 8th February, London Autism Group Charity is holding our monthly Activity Day!

It is taking place from 1-4pm at the amazing Holy Sepulchre, Holborn Viaduct.

As well as our usual Activities, there will be a talk on Employment and Workplace accommodations, by
the wonderful Ed Shearer, who is an Autistic Advocate, Speaker and expert by experience.

The Activity Days aim to further enrich the lives of the Autistic Community in London. This initiative, which is entirely free, will take place at the fantastic and accessible Holy Sepulchre Church in the City of London (Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2DQ, Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/maps/u3jeqYH69wMtqhq29), on a monthly basis (see dates below).

Following the feedback received at our successful Community Cafe sessions, these Activity Days are designed to provide a wide range of engaging and interactive activities that cater to the diverse interests of Autistic adults of all ages and backgrounds.

By creating an environment where shared interests can be explored and social connections are nurtured, we aim to promote inclusivity, acceptance, and foster a strong sense of community.

Meetings will be held monthly in the form of a shared meal funded by the Charity. (One main course and drink per person)

This Sunday (26th January), London Autism Group Charity have a Community Café session for the Autistic Community in South Woodford.

This will be happening on the last Sunday of every month at 1pm-3pm at St Mary's Church (207 High Road, South Woodford E18 2PA).

The Community Cafés provide a safe, inclusive, accessible and free space for the entire Autistic community to meet up in person. In doing so, we are better able to make connections with people who share our lived experiences and understand our point of view.

These drop in sessions require no pre-registration and are open to all people, of any age group with any interest or connection with autism.

Anyone connected with the Autistic community is invited, including Autistic people (children and adults) , parent/carers, and wider family members. You do not need an official Autism diagnosis.
